Crowns & Bridges
Restore damaged or missing teeth with same-day crown technology.
When a tooth is cracked, worn down, heavily filled, or missing, a crown or bridge restores it — bringing back your bite, your smile, and your confidence. At Smile360 Chicago, Dr. Mustafa Salam pairs precise, tooth-colored restorations with same-day crown technology, so many patients walk out with a permanent crown in a single visit — no messy impressions, no temporary, no second trip across town. It's modern, comfortable, natural-looking care, right on Devon Avenue.
At a glance
- Crowns rebuild a damaged tooth; bridges replace a missing one
- Same-day crowns, made and fitted in a single visit
- Colour-matched to blend with your natural teeth
- Built to last for years with normal brushing and flossing
Crowns vs. bridges — which do you need?
They solve two related problems:
- A crown is a custom cap that covers a tooth that's damaged, weakened, badly decayed, cracked, or recently root-canaled. It restores the tooth's shape, strength, and appearance — like a protective, natural-looking shell.
- A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring a natural-looking replacement tooth to the healthy teeth on either side of the gap, so you can chew and smile normally again.
Not sure which is right? We'll examine your tooth, explain your options in plain language, and recommend what will last.
Same-day crowns, in a single visit
Traditional crowns mean goopy impressions, a temporary crown, and a second appointment a couple of weeks later. With our same-day CEREC technology, we take a quick digital scan, design your crown on screen, and mill it from a solid ceramic block right here in the office — usually in about an hour or two. You leave the same day with a permanent, custom-fit crown and your smile whole. (Bridges and more complex cases may take a little longer — we'll always tell you what to expect.)

Natural-looking, and built to last
Every crown and bridge we place is tooth-colored and precision-milled to match the shade and shape of your natural teeth — no dark metal lines, no telltale "fake" look. With good habits and regular checkups, a well-made crown or bridge can last 10 to 15 years or more, quietly doing its job while blending right in.
Tip
Treat a crown like a natural tooth — brush and floss daily. If you grind your teeth at night, a simple nightguard protects your investment for years.
Caring for your crown or bridge
The best part: there's almost nothing new to learn. Brush twice a day, floss daily (we'll show you a simple trick for cleaning under a bridge), and keep up your routine checkups. Avoid using your teeth as tools — no cracking ice or opening packaging — and your restoration should serve you well for years.
Cost, insurance & financing
We'll give you a clear estimate before any work begins — no surprises. Crowns and bridges are considered major restorative care, which most dental plans help cover (often 50–80%), and we file the paperwork for you. For patients without insurance, we offer transparent self-pay pricing and flexible financing through CareCredit, so you can restore your smile comfortably.
“A great crown is one nobody can spot — it just looks and feels like your own tooth.”
Gentle, precise care
Dr. Salam built Smile360 Chicago on honest, judgment-free dentistry — and restorations are where precision really shows. You'll get a careful, comfortable visit, a result designed around your smile, and the modern technology to do it efficiently. Damaged or missing tooth? Let's fix it right.

Just like your natural teeth: brush twice a day, floss daily (we'll show you how to clean under a bridge), and keep up your checkups. Avoid biting hard objects like ice or pens, and it should serve you well for years.
Absolutely. Every restoration is tooth-colored and matched to the shade and shape of your natural teeth — no dark metal lines and no obvious "fake" look. Most people can't tell which tooth was treated.
No — we thoroughly numb the tooth first, so the procedure is comfortable, and same-day crowns skip the temporary and the second visit entirely. Any mild sensitivity afterward usually fades within a few days.
With good oral hygiene and regular checkups, a well-made crown or bridge typically lasts 10 to 15 years or more. Brushing, flossing (including under a bridge), and avoiding using your teeth as tools all help them last.
